Best solution to acne?

I am 14, and I have some acne (not a ton but a little bit). I need help clearing it away. I have heard that washing your face gently 2 times a day with soap, drinking a lot of water during the day, and exercising regularly helps clear acne. I have been using an acne solution in the shower, and it has not been working as fast as I would like it to.

Is there any advice as to what you think I should do? Thanks.

  1. wash your face and if it gets real bad go see a dermatoligist. It helps.

  2. believe it or not…. take garlic pills….. you can pick them up anywhere and are very cheap…. my little sis had the same problem and with in a week or two she was cleared up.

  3. get proactive. also, if you need to zap a zit in a hurry put toothpaste on it. leave it on over night.

  4. I know exactly what you mean. I myself have recently had to deal with an acne breakout fortunately though I bought this product (no its not ProActiv that stuff only dries out your skin and it sucks if you have sensitive skin) AcneFree its cheaper than ProActiv and it works even better! I got results within a week! you should try it ^-^

  5. For one, cleaning the skin with lemon is an effective acne skin treatment. The citric acid in lemon has properties that can kill harmful bacteria present in acne. A paste of orange peels also cleanses the skin and fights harmful bacteria.Log on to http://tipsfromruby-acne.blogspot.com/ for a few home made tips to heal acne

  6. Acne is one of the most distressing and depressing problem. Soak cotton wool in mint juice, and apply every day. Mix cinnamon powder with lime juice to make a fine paste, Apply on the spots and wash when dry .Check out http://useinfo-acne.blogspot.com/ for more useful info.

  7. thats all good advice, but

    DIET is KEY.

*don’t do and/or eliminate as much as possible*

    -soda
    -sugar/corn syrup
    -meat/dairy/eggs
    -processed food
    -fast food
-(partially) hydrogenated oils (almost in everything)
    -additives
    -fried foods
    -white bread/flour

-beer, to a lesser extent (if you must drink, drink a little wine)

    *eat as much as possible*

-SALADS (at least, 1 a day)
    -fruit (not canned)
    -fruit juice (100%)
    -organic
    -whole foods
    -raw foods

it may take a while for your system to cleanse, but:

    -be consistent
    -exercise
-and make an effort to REALLY enforce those dietary guidelines as much as possible; not just a little, but a real effort. read those labels. if you can’t afford to shop at a health food store or your parents don’t eat that way, be prepared to get a job.

You want to keep a 80% alkaline to 20% acid balance in your system; which might be difficult at first, but stick with it (it may take a few months), but, I guarantee, you’ll see an improvement; the longer you stick with it, the better your complexion will continue to get.
